Orbit Industrial B
Pumps should be installed only in applications for which they were approved, having taken into account material compatibility, flow rates, temperature; solids handling; pressure; rotational speed and the environment. The performance capabilities of the Orbit industrial pump range is shown on the chart below (based on water at 20°C).
Models and performance guide:
Features
-
Flow rates up to 160m3/h
-
Pressures up to 80 bar
-
Excellent suction capabilities - inherently self-priming
-
Good solids handling capabilities including fibrous materials
-
Reversible - pumps in either direction with equal efficiency
-
Capacity is proportional to speed
-
Pressure is independent of speed
-
No valves
-
Loose seal/gland arrangement
-
Gentle handling of shear-sensitive products
-
Ability to handle viscous products of over 1-million centipoise
-
Solid or hollow shaft option
-
Pulse-free flow
-
Simple and robust construction
-
Ability to handle products with a large percentage of entrained gas.
At the pumping system design stage, consideration must be given for the provision of dedicated gauges, filling or flushing connections, non-return, isolating or pressure relief valves. Due to the nature of a positive displacement pump, it is recommended a pressure relief valve is installed on the outlet side of the pump to prevent any danger or damage.

Orbit Industrial D
This pump range has high load capability and angular contact thrust bearings in discharge head allow for pump setting depths of up to 300m. The discharge head suitable for drive by electric motor (AC/DC/solar), petrol or diesel engine, tractor or rotary windmill. With rubber stabilisers that centralise pump and columns firmly in the borehole, it eliminates noise and vibration.
Models and performance guide:
Features
-
New FE design offers improved performance and efficiency
-
Helical rotor technology
-
Flow is proportional to speed
-
Constant non-pulsating flow
-
High developed head allows irrigation directly from borehole
-
Stainless steel flexible shaft and bearing pieces
-
Rubber stabilisers centralise pump and columns firmly in the borehole
-
Pressure head developed is independent of pump speed
-
Abrasion-resistant
-
High tensile drive shafts with rolled threads
